How do I find a peer reviewed, scholarly journal article for psychology?

You may have a link to the Psychology Resources page in your Blackboard course. Look for it under the Ask a Librarian page in Bb. When you click on this page it should look like this. (See screenshot) The middle box, under the graphic is a list of psychology databases. Choose one of these to look for a scholarly, peer-reviewed article.

(Caution: If you use Google Chrome as your browser, please be aware that you may need to use a private browser to view the database if you see this message: "Your connection is not private."

Click on the ellipse (in the upper right corner of your Chrome browser and choose "New Incognito Window". Copy the database link and paste it into the private browser.)

Search for the term or combination of terms for your topic.

You can narrow your search by filtering to peer-reviewed and full text, usually in the Advanced Search options.
