I am getting a Single Sign-On Error (SSO) when I try to access electronic library content. What can I do?

Answer

When this happens, you may also see a message about an authentication exception. The reason you are seeing this error is that there is an expired authentication token (stored in a browser cookie).

You may also see this because there is a prior sign-in attempt in progress, meaning you are already signed in to a KCTCS resource through SSO and there is a conflict.

To avoid this error, you can close the browser and reopen it in a "private" or "incognito" window.

It is recommended that college students and employees always use private browsing to access library electronic content. Using a browser other than Chrome may also prevent this error from occurring.

You may also fix this problem by going to your browser settings to the search history and clear/delete the data from websites you have visited and clear the cookies saved in the history. Then, close the browser and reopen it.
